Kadena De Mano, Pangamut and Dumog

This video covers a brief instructional for Kadena De Mano Lock Flow #1 and uses KDM Foundation drill #1 to practice entry into each lock in Lock Flow #1.

Practicing joint locking and it’s logical conclusion of crippling your opponent, is a key part of Kadena De Mano, however the Lock Flows are just an introductory set of exercises in order to create fluency in our #ISEtribe members.

In an ideal situation you would want to be able to grab any lock from a standing target, from being pushed and pushing, from being grabbed and grabbing, and from being struck and striking.

Utilizing the foundation drills is a standard method Mangisursuro would use to have all of his students build proficiency.

Ultimately we would want to be able to fluidly transition from dumog type tactics to pangamut tactics. What this means is you should be able to do your simple defenses and attacks, your complex defenses and offensive strategies while also being able to transition seamlessly from striking to controlling to maneuvering in a constant flux. An opponent may defend your strike, which opens the opportunity up for you to attempt a joint dislocation or bone break, which would in turn be resisted inviting you to then strike them.

The drill and content of the video is meant to help you with that fluency.

Enjoy
